TMV asset registers, scheduling and reminders
"How many TMVs have we got, and when were they last tested?" If that question makes you wince, you're not alone. We'll find every valve, log it properly and keep on top of when it's due.

One list of every valve you own
On the first visit we survey the site and record each TMV, including the awkward ones behind bath panels and in ceiling voids. Each valve gets a unique ID tag so it can be matched to its records for years to come.
After that, every test result goes against the right valve. You can see at a glance which ones passed, which needed work and which are due next.
| Valve | Location | Next due | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| TMV-11 | First floor bathroom | Sep | Pass |
| TMV-12 | Room 14 shower | Sep | Pass |
| TMV-13 | Sluice room basin | Apr | Part on order |
| TMV-14 | Room 15 washbasin | Sep | Pass |

What we keep for each valve
Where it is
Building, floor, room and outlet, plus a note on how to get to it if it's hidden.
What it is
Make, model, TMV2 or TMV3, and the outlet it serves: bath, shower, basin or bidet.
The readings
Hot and cold supply temperatures, the mixed temperature and the set point.
Fail-safe result
Whether the valve shut down properly when the cold supply was isolated.
Work done
Cleaned, descaled, recalibrated, cartridge replaced or valve swapped out.
When it's next due
Based on your agreed interval and how stable that valve has been.
We book the visits, so you don't have to remember
Once your interval is agreed, we plan the next visit and get in touch ahead of time to confirm a date. If you've got several sites, we group visits sensibly so engineers aren't zig-zagging across the country.
A nudge before anything falls due
- A reminder ahead of each due date
- A follow-up on any outstanding remedial work
- Early checks for newly installed valves, so they're not forgotten
Good records protect you
If there's ever an incident, the first question will be "when was that valve last tested, and what did it show?" A clear register answers that in seconds. It also helps with inspections, insurance and handovers when staff change.
Inspections
Show regulators and auditors exactly what's been done and when.
Your water safety plan
Feed TMV results into your Legionella records and risk assessment reviews.
Staff changes
The knowledge stays with the building, not with whoever used to know where the valves were.
Questions about asset registers
We've never had a register. Where do we start?
With a survey. On the first visit we find and tag every TMV, and usually service them at the same time. From then on you've got a complete list to work from.
Can you take over an existing register?
Yes. Send us what you've got. We'll check it on site, fill the gaps and carry on from there so your history isn't lost.
What format will the register be in?
A clear document you can keep with your water safety records and share with your risk assessor or auditor. If you need it laid out a certain way for your own systems, just ask.
