How our TMV servicing works
No surprises, no jargon. Here's what happens from your first call to the reminder for your next test.
A quick chat
Call us or fill in the form. We'll ask what kind of building it is, roughly how many valves you have, where they are and what records you've got. A rough count is fine.
A fixed quote
We send a clear quote, usually priced per valve or per visit. If we need to see the site first to price it fairly, we'll say so.
Booking in
We agree a date that works around your residents, pupils, patients or guests. We'll confirm who's coming and how long we expect to be there.
On site
Our engineer signs in, checks any access or infection control rules, then works through the valves one at a time. Only the outlet being worked on is out of use.
Testing and servicing
Supply and mixed temperatures, the fail-safe test, strainers, check valves, descaling and recalibration. Read the full list on our TMV servicing page.
Anything extra agreed first
If a valve needs a new cartridge or replacing, we explain why and what it costs before going ahead. If an outlet isn't safe to use, we make it safe and tell you straight away.
Paperwork
You get a certificate with every valve's readings, logbook entries and an updated asset register, plus a short summary of anything outstanding.
Next time
We schedule the next visit to match your agreed interval and remind you before it's due. Simple.
Helpful things to have ready
None of this is essential, but it makes the visit quicker.
- Any previous TMV records or asset register
- Keys or codes for plant rooms and locked rooms
- A list of rooms we can and can't get into on the day
- Your Legionella risk assessment, if it mentions TMVs
- Someone we can check in with if we find a problem
Ready when you are
Start with a quick message or call. We'll take it from there.
